CISI 'stand-alone' qualifications
In addition to the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment's (CISI) qualification programmes, the CISI offers a series of 'single exam' qualifications. These qualifications can act as a stand-alone qualification, or be taken in conjunction with other CISI qualifications to form a certificate or diploma.
CISI - Certificate in Securities
The Certificate in Securities has been developed to provide employees advising and/or dealing in securities on behalf of professional or retail clients with the knowledge and the skills required for their job roles.
The full Certificate in Securities consists of two separate units. The Regulatory unit appropriate to the local environment (e.g. Principles in Financial Regulation) and the Securities unit.
The Certificate in Securities syllabus focuses on key concepts and principles relating to the creation, valuation, trading and management of financial instruments, comprehensive coverage of equities, debt securities and prime brokerage including primary and secondary markets enhanced coverage of valuation and accounting analysis as well as the risk/reward relationship of investment strategies.
CISI - International Certificate in Investment Management
The International Certificate in Investment Management (ICertIM) is targeted at professionals engaged in managing investments. It has been designed to provide a test of competence for individuals engaged in private client asset management (discretionary portfolio management) and fund management.
The full ICertIM consists of two separate units. The Regulatory unit appropriate to the local environment (e.g. DIFC Rules & Regulations Paper) and the Investment Management unit.
The Investment Management unit provides a firm grasp of the different asset classes and financial markets as well as the underpinning disciplines of economics, financial mathematics and accounting. The unit also provides coverage of the main tools of investment management: investment analysis, portfolio management and performance measurement, helping candidates prepare for the industry issues they are likely to encounter.
International Compliance Officer Certificate
CCL have developed this programme to meet the needs of today's Compliance Officer.
This highly recognised certificate is Endorsed by the CISI and provides attendees with the practical skills and knowledge required to carryout the Compliance function in-line with international best practice. The Certificate has been designed by Compliance Officers and Regulators who between them have over 30 years of compliance experience.
